If you’re working with multiple directories/files with very similar contents keeping them organized can be significantly easier with SmartSynchronize. This file/directory compare & merge utility supports multiple platforms and lets you compare multiple files and folders.

SmartSynchronize can also edit the file contents and do 3-way merges. The encoding used for read and write operations can be configured b y the user. For example, you can set if whitespace changes should be ignored or how the program should detect inner-line changes. The colored display can be easily exported as HTML.

The tool lets you compare files from different platforms. To make this happen, it lets you modify the encodings used for reading/writing the tiles, for each file, separately.

Edited files are written with the remembered line separators, so the platform you’re using to edit the compared files won’t affect the results.
