CTrayNotifyIcon: Create and test system tray icons for development and functionality purposes with the help of this lightweight and simple program.

CTrayNotifyIcon is a small software tool that allows developers to create and test the behavior of new system tray icons. The standard smiley face icon can be employed as a static form or an animated icon.

The Shell_NotifyIcon SDK call will be encapsulated by the CTrayNotifyIcon class. The system tray icons displayed in Windows such as volume control, for example, can be created using this API.

Besides the two types of icons, there's also a timer that counts up to 99 and restarts from 0. This class eliminates the manual work of calling the API directly and offers a practical C++ layout for using it. Furthermore, you can customize and get the ToolTip text, icon, and notification window using the overload member functions.

The same class also offers a default implementation for displaying a context menu and includes a default menu item that is launched when double-clicking the icon. Should the shell crash unexpectedly, the application can perform automated icon cleanup and resurrection.
