SyncBackFree: Create backup and synchronization tasks quickly with this easy to use application

SyncBackFree is an efficient backup and synchronization tool that lets you store copies of your files and folders on shared drives, external hard drives, FTP servers and discs.

At first run you’ll need to configure your personal profile. The customization process involves going through a lot of settings, but it’s worth the trouble since the app is made to handle various scenarios. There’s also the option to schedule tasks, so you only need to go through the settings one time.

The app requires you to select the source and destination folders and the type of task you want to be performed. It can back up files and folders stored on your local hard drive, USB drives, CDs and DVDs and the destination folder can be located on another computer from your network or on a FTP server.

SyncBackFree offers an Easy mode and an Expert mode, the latter option being suitable for professionals and power users. As a result, some features are exclusively available in the Expert mode, like choosing the applications that should be started/closed before and/or after the job is complete, and the ability to set comparing attributes for sync tasks.

You can tell the app to prompt you for file deletions, check if the files are copied correctly and set it to send you the log file of a specific job to your email. To continue, SyncBackFree also allows you to simulate a job – in this case no files will be copied but it will still generate a report.
