TekCERT: Create and manage self-signed certificates for specific users with this useful piece of software

Everything in the digital environment works by complying to a collection of rules that are used to enforce the legal status of the various countries and regions of this world. For example, commercial digital products are assigned price tags and pirated distribution of these products is illegal. This is why each application needs a certificate assigned.

TekCERT is a specialized application that helps you manage and create certificate files for specific users in an intuitive manner thanks to its straightforward interface and set of options. The tabbed UI lets you quickly create new certificate files by simply entering information in a number of fields and customizing various parameters such as the encryption algorithm, the length of the security key, serial number, set it to be self-signed or not, validity period and others.

What’s more, creating a correct certificate files also implies you add information about the target users like the name, company, unit, email and address. Once you added all the necessary details you can generate the certificate file or make a request.

The application also offers management tools for your existing certificates, which are shown in a list accompanied by related information. You can delete items, save them to a file or export their private or public keys according to your preferences.

Signing and modifying requests can be performed in separate tabs and you can see pending entries for certain users or local machines, and optionally process or remove them. On top of this, TekCERT enables users to manually sign certificates and change the algorithm it uses.
