TraySearch: A simple tool that lets you access files fast by writing their paths in a search bar and by creating shortcuts

TraySearch is a Java-based tool that lets you quickly access files located on one of your local drives, a mapped network drive or on a removable device. It runs minimized in the system tray and you can open the interface by pressing the Win+Z keyboard shortcut.

The tool requires Java Runtime Environment in order to work. Once you run it, you will be able to access it via its system tray icon or the Win+Z keyboard shortcut.

TraySearch lets you access any file stored on supported drives by simply typing its path. For your convenience, the app lists all files from the current path as you type, so you don’t need to know the complete path of the files.

Furthermore, you can click any of the listed items to open them with the default application or their file or folder. Also, you can create shortcuts for files you access frequently from the item’s context menu.
