Do you want to edit CSV files in the easiest way possible without using a program built to do lots of other things, thus being forced to navigate through a ton of options you’ll never be using anyway?

reCsv Editor is a lightweight Java-based tool that allows you to edit basic CSV files with very little effort. The application shows the file as a table – binary fields will be converted to their text equivalent.

The program can work even with extremely large files and lets you use almost any character as a field separator. You can easily move, copy and add new columns as well as change the field separator and/or quotes.

You can have a field fixed in position and hidden at the same time – via the right-click menu. Using the Record View you’ll be able to display one record with fields going down the page. The Filtered View lets you choos the Records/Fields you want displayed. Other available views include the Sorted Tree View – offers a sort/summary of the file and the Column View, in which the rows/columns are swapped.

reCsv Editor allows you to export files as Fixed Width Text / XML / HTML or through the Velocity Template.
