ShelXle: A GUI for SHELXL that allows you to visualize, manage, and edit three dimentional structures of atoms

ShelXle is an exceptionally reliable and comprehensive piece of software that provides you with a graphical user interface for SHELXL – a crystal refinement tool. With its included syntax highlighter and editor, ShelXle gives you the ability to process INS and RES files quickly and easily.

It comes with a straightforward and relatively easy to navigate interface that can be utilized easily by anyone that has experience with its sister application and since most of its functionality is relatively intuitive, even beginner users shouldn’t have too many issues figuring out how everything works. It has a ton of handy features and functions that can be tailored to any individual’s needs, making ShelXle perfect for chemists and chemistry enthusiasts alike.

- Works flawlessly with RES and INS formatted files.
- No tutorial to show you the ropes, but help documentation is included to help you out if you get stuck.
- Allows you to adjust the style of the atoms of the file you load (bond strength, level of detail, qpeak size, etc.).
- Gives you the ability to modify the atom’s type, colour, and other parameters easily.
- Lets you add various details via ribbon buttons (tubes, ball sticks, labels, bonds, unit cells, etc.).
- Gives you the opportunity to alternate between an orthographic and a central perspective projection.

Please note that in order for ShelXle to function properly on your Windows system, you must have INS and/or IRS files installed as well.
