From the company that brought you NOD32, the most powerful anti-virus in the world, comes ESET SysInspector a useful tool that offers your important info about your PC’s running OS and its running processes, services, registry entries, installed drives and other critical system files.

SysInspector distributes the information in several basic sections called nodes. Each node can be expanded into sub-node to find additional information about the desired process or service, if additional info is available of course. To open or close the node all you have to do is double click the node name or click on the plus next to the node name.

There are eight main nodes in SysInspector: Running processes, Network Connections, Important registry entries, services, drivers, Critical files, system information and file details.

The Running processes node contains information about running apps and process that are running at the time you are generating the report. In the description window you will be able to check out additional info such as dynamic libraries used by the process and their location in the system, vendor name or file risk level.

The Network connections node offers you the list of processes and apps that are communication over the network. You can choose in the navigation window whether you will see information from TCP or UDP protocols. In the nav window you will also be able to find the remote address where the app is connected to. There is also an option to check for DNS assigning of IP addresses.

The Important registry entries node features a list of desired registry entries that can be related to various problems on your system.

The Services offers node lists files registered as Windows Services, while Drivers node displays a list of installed drivers. Critical files node shows list and content of critical files related to the OS.

The System information node, as the name tells us, gives you detailed info about your system’s hardware and software and File details node gives us the list of important system files and files located in the Program Files directory.
