Ableton Live lets you record and edit clips, edit the flow of signals, effects processing, mixing options and other interesting features.

The speed of the sample playback can be changed independently from the pitch using the warping feature, but it also lets you set the tempo, choose from a number of audio effects and access and edit MIDI contents.

Users can create preset music compositions and add them to their library, choose a signal source and destination for every track and apply resampling, layering of synths options and submixing. Furthermore you can draw, edit and record in real-time breakpoint envelopes using the automation feature.

Ableton Love also includes capabilities for automating devices and mixer controls, access it through an external MIDI controller, use a variety of MIDI and audio effects and add more functionality to the program with AU and VST plugins.
