Smadav: A modern and lightweight security program equipped with real-time antivirus protection

Smadav is a lightweight and effective security application designed to permanently safeguard your computer through real-time antivirus protection.

The program was designed to complement a traditional antivirus software unlike most security apps which are not designed to run along another similar tool. For this reason, Smadav can be a valuable additional layer of security, especially since it comes with its own behavioral, heuristing and whitelisting algorithms.

Besides protecting your system and hard drive contents, the application can also prevent USB Flash drives from infecting your computer as well as remove them and restore the infected files stored on these external storage devices.

What’s more, the program is light on system resources, thus it can be installed even on older or low-end hardware configurations with no negative impact on your computer’s performance. Regarding malware detection and cleaning capabilities, Smadav bundles a collection of tools designed for this purpose such as the Process Manager that lets you manage running processes and applications, and the One-Virus By-User which allows you to manually add suspicious files to the app to be cleaned.

Also, it provides a tool called Win-Force that allows you to force open various system management programs and Smad-Lock for cleaning virus infections from hard drives.
