SalityKiller is an easy to use tool created to help users to rid their computer of the modifications that are brought on from the Virus.Win32.Sality.aa as well as the VirusWin32.Sality.ag.

It is recommended by the creator before using SalityKiller to ensure that your computer does not have other Kaspersky Lab products installed. The program will rid your computer of such other viruses as Virus.Win32.Sality.ae and Virus.Win32.Sality.bh as well as the ones mentioned above.

The creator explains that additional parameters that need to be used to run SalityKiller.exe from command line are as follows:
-p - scan a particular folder;
-n - search network disks;
-r - search flash drives, search removable hard disks connected through USB and Fire Wire
-y - close the window as soon as the utility finishes;
-s - search in "silent" mode without the need of opening the console box;
-l - write log to the file;
-v - Comprehensive logging which has to be used in combination with -l;
-x - reinstate the opportunity to view hidden and system files;
-a - stop autorun from any devices;
-j - reinstate the registry branch SafeBoot, if it has been deleted, the computer will not start up in Safe mode);
-m - monitoring mode to defend the computer from being infected;
-q - searches the system and then goes into the monitoring mode
-k – the utility will search all disks, detect files autorun.inf that were created by the virus Virus.Win32.Sality and remove them for the system. It also has the capability to delete the executable file linked by autorun.inf, even in the case that such file has been disinfected.
