SpywareBlaster: Anti-spyware protection solution

SpywareBlaster is a powerful anti-spyware application that eliminates the need to scan and clean spyware from your computer, as it was designed to prevent spyware from being installed in the first place.

The program ensures no spyware will be installed via webpages by disabling the CLSIDs of popular spyware ActiveX controls. This will ensure that Internet Explorer will run fine with ActiveX enabled but without downloads and prompts related to the blocked ActiveX controls.

SpywareBlaster has a complete and update-able database containing information on all known spyware ActiveX controls. A full list of detected controls will be displayed and even if the program can’t detect if you have already installed known objects they will be disabled.

In the “Tools” section, SpywareBlaster provides additional options such as Browser Pages – lists a large number of the browser pages visited from Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, Hosts Safe – the place you can store backup copies of the Hosts file, Misc. Internet Explorer Settings – presents editable settings for IE that are not listed in its interface, Flash Killer – the simple way to disable those annoying flash ad-banners and other flash content in webpages and Custom Blocking – allows you to create your own list of ActiveX controls you wish to block.
