AntConc

AntConc: Useful tool to obtain word frequency from two or more text documents.

AntConc is a well-developed quick word counter and detailed linguistic analysis tool that offers a good balance and gives users the possibility to load and process multiple text documents at once, while also being compatible with formats like TXT, HTML, and XML.

Besides being able to load individual items, the program also sports the ability to load entire folders, which will make it easier for archives and document directories.

It also comes with seven utilities that can analyze source documents, including a concordance module, a file viewer, and even a cluster tool, and will allow users to search documents for common words and phrases.

The Cluister/N-Gram module will allow users to search the corpus for N length clusters, which is very useful for detecting similar, yet not identical words.

All in all, AntConc is a very handy software for all users that need to obtain word frequency analyses from individual or multiple text documents.
