CloudShot: A basic screenshot tool that lets you save screen captures as JPG or PNG images

These days having a simple but reliable screenshot utility is a must and CloudShot is definitely a good choice for the purpose. This free tool lets you capture the entire screen, a window or a region.

The screen captures can be saved as PNG or JPG files to your local hard drive or to your Dropbox cloud account.

It runs in the system tray by default and provides the ability to customize the screen capture hotkey. Furthermore, CloudShot allows you to copy the image or its path to the Clipboard, view it in your default image viewer after capture and it can be set to run at system boot automatically.

CloudShot lets you change the default local output folder and Dropbox account, save the screenshots as JPEG, JPG, animated GIF or PNG images, get direct links and shorten URLs for Dropbox, include/exclude the mouse cursor, hide notifications after taking the screenshot and other useful options.
