StarCodec: A complete codec package equipped with numerous audio and video codecs, filters and features

StarCodec is a powerful codec package designed to enable playback for a wide range of media file types. It includes a robust collection of filters, features, as well as audio and video codecs for this purpose.

During setup, the app allows you to select which features you want to install, but also comes with a number of preset profiles such as low performance pc, full, minimum, encoding, typical, advanced and custom.

StarCodec supports a large number of codecs and provides them neatly sorted into categories like Video, Audio, Major, Filter and Utility. For each profile you can see the disk space it will take when installed, plus the program can calculate the storage space needed to setup user-defined codecs.

The application bundles an extensive amount of codec types, including popular ones like Xvid, DivX, x264, MP3, MP4, AAC, FLAC, AVI, MediaInfo and others, so you won’t have problems playing any modern media format on your PC.
