RegEx Search: A handy Excel add-in offering find & replace, grep or extract using several regular expressions as input

Microsoft Excel is such a versatile software: from sorting and managing financial data to creating time schedules and other such documents. Even more, you can expand its functionality to a whole new level thanks to the variety of add-ins which are available for the app.

Regular Expression Find is one of these add-ins, and it offers a powerful search and replace function for Microsoft Excel 2000 and newer versions.

You can install the tool manually via the Add-in Manager module or launch the excelre.xla document if you have administrator rights.

With Regular Expression Find, you can find text in the entire file or just the current worksheet. It’s also available in the context menu, and it lets you replace items as well. The plug-in offers a few more options such as data extraction, worksheet functions and even auto shapes tasks like find, replace and grep.

You can acces any of them by pressing Ctrl+R or via the context menu.
