AlterPDF: A PDF converting and manipulation tools: convert, modify, protect and optimize your PDFs with ease all within a single lightweight package

AlterPDF is a feature-rich PDF editing software that enables you to convert perform conversions between PDF documents and images, extract text and images, encrypt and decrypt PDF files, change metadata, rotate, crop, extract, and delete pages from PDFs, as well as merge and split PDF documents.

The modern and practical interface enables makes it easy to use the included features, despite their large number. Drag and drop support is included so loading PDF files into the app is as convenient as possible but you can also use the 'Add' button to select them via the built-in file browser. The loaded files will be listed in the upper area of the middle panel and can be previewed in the lower section. You can preview the contents and metadata of any file by simply clicking on it.

AlterPDF provides three main operations, specifically Conversion, Modification, and Security. The first one enables you to extract text and images from PDFs, as well as perform PDF to image and image to PDf conversions.

The Modification section is where you can perform merge and split operations, and page-related tasks such as rotate, crop, extract, and remove. From the Security menu, you can sign your PDFs, alter their metadata, and perform encryption and decryption operations.

Image conversion can be used for specific pages of a PDF document and they can be saved as JPG, TIFF, EMF, and BMP files. Furthermore, users can convert JPG and BMP images to PDF documents. When extracting text, you can save the selection as a TXT file.

AlterPDF's settings allow you to customize the output folder and select a prefix that will automatically be applied to all the new files you create. It's also possible to switch between preview modes, page units, and UI languages.
