Ahnenblatt: An intuitive application for managing genealogy data providing the ability to generate graphical trees and reports

There’s no better way to discover your heritage (and preserve it for that matter) than by creating your genealogy tree. However, doing this the right way implies a considerable time-investment from your part, unless you use a specialized application such as Ahnenblatt.

The application bundles a robust set of feature which allow you to record and manage genealogy data with its limitations being mostly imposed by how much information you have regarding your family’s ancestry.

The users need to add all the data themselves and the application lets you import it using CSV and GEDCOM files. Thanks to the modern, minimal UI, you can focus on analyzing the genealogy tree with no distractions caused by surrounding elements. The tree can have an unlimited number of entries which of course depends on the information you insert in Ahnenblatt.

For each tree item there are essential information fields such as birth date, siblings, occupation and so on, although users can also add images and even custom notes. Generating the genealogy tree is a process that’s greatly simplified by the application as it will automatically use the provided data to establish connections between items.

Regarding export options, you can save your project to a variety of file formats, including XML, HTML, GEDCOM and Windows Help.
