Art of Illusion is an incredibly feature-rich application that lets you create and render 3D animations and scenes, using a wide variety of tools. With this program you’ll be able to manipulate objects and scenes and produce 3D animations and images of professional quality.

The graphic layout is a bit unpolished, but extremely functional. You get four different panes for 3D modeling, but also a timeline where you’ll be able to select and/or move keyframes as needed. In the smaller panes you can select objects and quickly edit their properties. There’s a built-in drawing box where you can add and manipulate objects in a simple fashion.

For any given object you can edit its field of view, layout, focal distance, depth of field, choose materials and textures, lock a selection of multiple objects and a few more options. Furthermore you can resize, rotate, align, scale and rename objects, insert various shapes such as spheres, cubes, spline meshes, cylinders...etc., connect two items using points, move/rotate viewpoints and create point and camera lights.

You can change the display mode between shaded, smooth, transparent, rendered, shaded and wireframe. A large collection of settings lets you customize the rendering of a scene, such as camera, rendered, frames per second, animation height and width, images per frame, anti-aliasing mode, surface accuracy and many others.
