The Enchanting profession in Classic WoW allows you to create enchantments for armor and weapons that increase the stats for that specific item. Enchanters are one of the most sought-off crafters in the game since end-game enchants can only be farmed in dungeons/raids or by getting revered/exalted with certain factions.
Enchanting is also a good gold farming profession, allowing you to disenchant any green or higher quality item that you loot or craft in-game into materials that are needed by other enchanters. That being said, Enchanting is a very good profession to have and it’s advisable to pair it with Tailoring since most items crafted can be disenchanted into materials early on in the game, providing an extra source of income.
We also recommend visiting our WoW Classic Master Guide for all the professions guides, leveling, farming guides and class builds.
Enchanting Trainers
Horde trainers:
- Godan (Expert Enchanter) in Orgrimmar.
- Lavinia Crowe (Expert Enchanter) in Undercity.
- Teg Dawnstrider (Expert Enchanter) in Thunder Bluff.
- Vance Undergloom (Journeyman Enchanter) in Brill
Alliance trainers:
- Lucan Cordell (Expert Enchanter) in Stormwind City.
- Gimble Thistlefuzz (Expert Enchanter) in Ironforge.
- Lalina Summermoon (Journeyman Enchanter) in Darnassus.
Keep in mind the only trainer that can teach you Artisan Enchanting is Annora and she is located in the Uldaman dungeon. For entering Uldaman and killing the mobs located there, you have to be at least level 35. The dungeon has 2 entrances, we advise using the back entrance since it’s closer to Annora. Since Annora has a lot of Enchanting recipes to sell as well as teaching Artisan Enchanting, we recommend bringing about 12-13 gold with you. Here’s the map of Uldaman to see exactly where Annora is and evidently, all the bosses.
Annora will sell the following:
Artisan Enchanting – 5g
Enchant Chest – Superior Mana (230) – 0.54g
Enchant Shield – Greater Spirit (230) – 0.54g

Leveling Enchanting to 300
Level 1 – 75
1 x Copper Rod + 1 x Strange Dust + 1 x Lesser Magic Essence = Runed Copper Rod
The Copper Rod can be bought from Enchanting Supplies vendors or Trade Supplies. Do NOT make the mistake of buying it from the Auction House, many players will try to sell these on the AH.
The cheapest way of getting to level 50, even 60 if you have green quality items, is to disenchant everything until you hit level 50 (60). Keep in mind that in most cases, green items are cheaper than enchanting mats at the AH so buying them is the best option. It will also provide you with extra mats when disenchanting.
From 50 to 75 you can create Enchant Bracer: Minor Health using 25 x Strange Dust
Level 75 – 150
30 x Strange Dust = 10 x Enchant Bracer: Minor Stamina|
1 x Silver Rod + 6 Strange Dust + 3 x Greater Magic Essence +1 x Runed Copper Rod = 1 x Runed Silver Rod
12 x Strange Dust = 4 x Enchant Bracer – Minor Stamina
30 x Strange Dust + 15 x Greater Magic Essence = 15 x Enchant Bracer – Minor Agility
20 x Strange Dust + 10 x Lesser Astral Essence = 10 x Enchant Shield – Minor Stamina
40 x Soul Dust = 20 x Enchant Bracer – Lesser Stamina
Now it’s the time to learn Expert Enchanting from either Hgarth in Stonetalon Mountains (Horde) or Kitta Firewind in Elwynn Forest (Alliance).
Level 150 – 225
1 x Golden Rod + 1 x Iridescent Pearl + 2 x Greater Astral Essence + 2 x Soul Dust = 1 x Runed Golden Rod
20 x Soul Dust = 10 x Enchant Bracer – Lesser Stamina
5 x Soul Dust + 5 x Lesser Mystic Essence= 5 x Enchant Shield – Lesser Stamina
25 x Lesser Mystic Essence= 25 x Enchant Bracer – Spirit
20 x Vision Dust = 20 x Enchant Bracer – Strength
Create Runed Truesilver Rod which is made from Truesilver Rod, Black Pearl, 2 x Greater Mystic Essence and 2 x Vision Dust.

250 x Dream Dust = 25 x Enchant Shield – Greater Stamina
Now you have to buy Formula: Enchant Cloak – Superior Defense and Formula: Runed Arcanite Rod from Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade.
Create a Runed Arcanite Rod using Arcanite Rod, Golden Pearl, 10 x Illusion Dust, 4 x Greater Eternal Essence, Runed Truesilver Rod and 2 x Large Brilliant Shard.
