Directory Monitor: A reliable tool you can use to monitor local and network directories with notifications and other options

Directory Monitor is a powerful application that allows you to monitor specific folders regardless if they are stored on a network connected machine or on your computer’s local hard drive. The tool makes it easy to view any modifications, removals, renames, new added files, and accessed files.

It can also notify you of the changes via email, and you can set it to launch third-party programs as needed. The application lets you easily customize each of the monitored folders, as you are able to select events that should be recorded, as well as the actions that should be taken when changes occur.

For example, you can set Directory Monitor to open a third-party application, or play a sound, plus it can monitor events in subfolders.

From the program’s options menu you can setup the interval at which it will scan folders for changes, create a log file backup, set the program to generate separate log files for each folder, as well as automatically delete invalid log entries.
