CasaTunes: Create a music system throughout your house and control the playlists assigned to each room with this intuitive piece of software

CasaTunes is a browser-based application that lets you setup all the music players found in your house and control the tunes that play in each room. The tool is part of CasaTunes music server or streamers and enables you to customize a multi-room music system as well as fully control the playlists for each source.

The program supports a number of streamers and it can be configured through the server. With CasaTunes you can play music from your PC, the selected source, iTunes, NUVO libraries and so on. Furthermore, it supports AirPlay so it can also be used to play music from iOS devices, specifically the iPhone, iPad or iPod.

The app’s management is performed via web browser or using built-in tools. This way you can add and remove songs, view the playlist queue and tweak volume and playback options. There’s also an included radio tool and you can play the broadcast in any room.

Regarding supported online music services, CasaTunes supports popular ones such as Spotify, SHOUTcast and iNetCustom. Any of the supported services can be set to play on all sources or just on a specific one.

With a dedicated server you can remotely access the program and a custom server configuration can be used to enable and control Casatunes. Alternatively you can connect to the default CasaTunes UltraVNC and optionally give access and control permissions to external apps.
