AstroGrep: A small tool that lets you perform search operations in a user-defined location

AstroGrep is a free, portable application that enables users to carry out search operations in custom locations. Since the tool is portable, it doesn’t need to be installed, thus it won’t create new files and folders or Registry items.

The interface is lightweight and straightforward so all users can easily control it. You cn select the target location, specify extensions and enter the search text.

Search options include the ability to search for regular expressions, case sensitive or entire words, and also include the subfolders in the search. You should also be aware of the fact that AstroGrep lets you filter the search results by a variety of criteria such as date and size, custom exclusion lists, and skip hidden files and directories.

The application lets you open files and folders from the search results, as well as copy any kind of information to the clipboard.
