Samsung Magician: An intuitive tool that can efficiently optimize your SSD drive

Samsung Magician is a reliable application that offers maintenance for Samsung SSD drives as it bundles a useful collection of optimization and benchmarking tools. As it was designed specifically for a limited number of Samsung SSD models (840 / 830 / 470 Series, 840 EVO and 840 PRO), this application doesn’t support other products. We recommend you only use it on the supported firmware, otherwise damage can occur.

The application is a comprehensive suite that lets users optimize their Samsung SSD drives. Among the most important features offered are its benchmarking capabilities, firmware updates, drive optimization and safe data wiping.

The friendly UI offers all of the features in one, neatly organied window where you can quickly access any of the components. To test your SSD drive you can use Samsung Magician’s benchmarking tool that puts it to a series of stress tests so it can acquire the sequential read and write speed, two important factors for measuring disk performance.

In the OS Optimization section you’ll find other handy utilities and it offers several configurations that can make your operating system perform a its best with your SSD. Users can choose from the three preset profiles – Maximum Performance, Maximum Capacity and Maximum Readability.

One of the best features of the tool is its RAPID Mode that can increase disk performance by using up to 1 GB DRAM as a cache for frequently used data.
