Idem Files Finder: A streamlined duplicate searching application that lets you compare files and find duplicates

Duplicate files can take up a significant amount of storage space and while manually trying to find the copies can be a time consuming task, using a dedicated program is exactly the opposite.

Idem Files Finder is a simple tool that can easily find duplicate files stored on your system, so you can quickly delete the copies and free up storage space.

The application doesn’t need to be installed since it is a portable tool. To search for duplicates you need to select a folder.

You can also filter the results by file extension and it is possible to add multiple extensions, delimited by commas.

Idem Files Finder will quickly display the results in a list or tree view. If you opt for the tree view, the application shows the MD5 hash codes that are identical as well as the location of the duplicate items. The list view shows the file size and allows you to select items for deletion.

Furthermore, you can quickly export the list of duplicate files as an XML or CSV file.
