Managed Disk Cleanup: Open-source alternative to the deprecated Disk Cleanup, featuring an almost identical UI and functionality in the form of a small, portable program

Managed Disk Cleanup is a practical application designed to replace the now deprecated Disk Cleanup utility that was developed by Microsoft. The program has a graphical layout very similar to the classic Windows Disk Cleanup tool although it has removed the More Options tab in the advanced cleanup mode.

Managed Disk Cleanup has the same functions as Microsoft's Disk Cleanup utility except you won't be able to clean up restore points since this option was originally available in the More Options tab.

While the Disk Cleanup tool is still available in Windows, it no longer receives updates and will be removed completely in a later Windows version. When the utility will no longer be available, the provided disk cleanup features won't remain accessible from the command-line.

Managed Disk Cleanup lacks a command-line mode, for now, although the developer plans to add it soon. Also, the application will allow developers to create scripts and executables that perform customized cleanup jobs among other tweaks.
