Black NotePad is a lightweight, essential text editor that provides a friendly and customizable writing environment free of distractions. The program is portable so you won't have to go through the usual installation process.

The sleek and modern interface has a default dark background and a limited set of basic features. Of course, copy/paste support is provided, as well as the ability to open and edit TXT files.

As far as editing options go, you can undo and redo changes, copy, paste, and cut text but also there are various text formatting options. Among them, you will find, turning selected text to all uppercase or lowercase, recognizing URLs, and a built-in search.

Regarding font and background colors, Black NotePad provides two permanent and five customizable profile settings and there are three preset font options with the possibility to load and save more.
