If you enjoy watching movies, TV shows and other sorts of videos on your computer without being interrupted by commercial, a tool like Comskip can be of help. The application can analyze an MPEG file and detect commercials, if any are present.

Then, it removes the commercials from the video and generates a new output file without them so you can watch the video without the initial ads.

The application is portable and doesn’t have a graphical user interface. It can be launched via Command Prompt and you can control it using one of the listed commands.
