Virtual Display Manager makes it very easy to connect to a remote workstation. You just need to setup a server component on the target machine, and access it using the client from your own computer. To setup a server, you will need to enter a working IP and port, but also to create a user account.

After the connection is established, it is possible to view and control the target computer from a full-desktop window, or using separate windows.
