AnyDesk: A handy tool that lets you easily remote control one or more computers

There’s no shortage of remote control utilities on the market, but AnyDesk stands out in the crows thanks to its intuitive options and its ability to establish reliable connections between computers.

The application has a straightforward interface, so practically anyone can use it, even without prior experience using similar tools. In the main window, users can connect to any other computer that runs AnyDesk. This is done by inputting the related address into the „Remote Desk” field.

You can, for example, connect to your home PC from the office, or the other way around, as long as you have the related address that needs to be entered in the „Remote Desk” field. Because it lets you remotely access everything stored on the remote machine, AnyDesk does not include file transfer/sharing capabilities.

However, users can share clipboard contents between two computers – a really simple way to copy/paste information. Also, you can capture the screen of the remote machine, and save them on your own computer as PNG files.

The tool offers support for unattended access, so you can connect to another PC, with no confirmation required from the other side. However, this feature requires the user to set a password, to ensure no unauthorized access can happen.

Users can also set permissions for each connection such as the ability to hear the sound output and lock or control the mouse and keyboard access to the clipboard.
