Yandex Browser is an intuitive web browser that uses the rendering engines of Chrome and Safari and relies on Chromium’s source code. It offers fast browsing speed thanks to its integrated turbo mode that you can enable if your Internet connection is too slow and can notify you regarding harmful or potentially malicious sites which may compromise your security and scans downloaded files using Kaspersky’s antivirus engine.
The app lets you enter a website’s address and search strings in one dialog via it’s SmartBox option. It’s UI resembles the one of Chrome, except the “New Tab” screen shows a layout inspired by the Modern Windows 8 design where you can add, pin or remove widgets.
Yandex Browser lets you import settings from other popular browsers and change its background by choosing one of the built-in photos or by uploading one from your hard drive.
Also, it includes other useful features you’d expect from a functional browser like tab support, bookmarks, synchronization, page translation options, support for extensions and more. Moreover, the browser includes various security features, like the ability to block cookies for specific web pages and customizable permissions.
