Flagfox is an efficient and reliable extension for Firefox users that gives you the ability to figure out the geographical location of a website’s server. It checks for the server’s nationality and displays a flag within the address bar right next to the URL regardless of what the domain says.

Since this extension is based on an internal database of IP addresses that’s updated from time to time, it’s a lot more reliable and precise than applications that are based on Internet top level domains. There is an options menu that gives you the opportunity to configure certain aspects of this tool to suit your individual needs if you’re a more advanced users, but all basic Internet browsers are going to need to do is download and start surfing – Flagfox will take care of the rest.
