If you’re someone that’s interested in economics, you may want to seriously consider downloading Minsky onto your machine. Minsky is a program that shows you the dynamic simulation of economic models that are built using flowcharts and a double entry bookkeeping system known as a Godley table.

This wonderfully useful software was created by Dr. Steve Keen when he noticed that all of economics modelling packages available ignored banks, debt, and money completely. Knowing that these things play into economics greatly, he set out to create something that could prove useful to anyone. It’s the perfect software for anyone that want to simulate their economics, and it’s completely open source (which means it’s not only free to download, but you can customize it to your individual needs if you know how)!

Not only can this program be used to simulate economics, but also any other dynamical systems modelling (such as biology or chaos theory applications).
