dupeGuru: Useful application for finding and removing duplicate items.

dupeGuru is a useful application that was developed in order to help users find and remove duplicate files on a hard drive and is pretty much aimed at rookies that rely on a well-organized GUI.

The program will prompt users for one or multiple folders to scan for duplicates, but will also allow users to load the results from a previously-saved searching session.

When the scan is done, the program will show the filename, folder, size, and match percentage for all the found items, which will allow them to perform a number of operations (e.g. delete, move, or copy them to another location, rename, or remove the selected items from the results, open the root location or even open them with the default app).

Users will also have the ability to use a search box to quickly filter the results and so is a “Details” button to see file attributes, like a folder, size, type, modification, words used, and even dupe count.

dupeGuru is a great application that is a lot friendlier to beginners, for finding and removing duplicates on the hard drive.
