EarTrumpet: Control the volume levels separately, for each running application

Windows 10 offers basic volume control capabilities, but there are no built-in options to do this on a per app basis.

However, EarTrumpet is a specialized utility that solves this problem offering enhanced volume control management in Windows 10, as it lets you change the sound volume for each of the apps that are currently running.

The program can be accessed via its system tray icon, by clicking on it to view the volume bars. EarTrumpet makes it very easy to control the volume for specific apps. For example, you can set the audio levels for your email client at maximum to be sure you will always hear the notifications, while keeping your browser’s volume level at a minimum.

While the application offers capabilities similar to the system volume control, it works in tandem and doesn’t replace the stock function. From the Settings pane, you can enable EarTrumpet to monitor the apps that are currently running on the desktop.
