MessageSave: A lightweight add-in that lets you easily backup, organize and save all your Outlook messages

If you need to handle lots of emails every day and store them long-term, the default backup and storage features of most email clients are insufficient. Those using Microsoft OutLook for email management that need a reliable solution for saving emails should definitely give MessageSave a try.

This tool is a small, yet functional Microsoft Outlook add-in that offers all the tools and feature you’d need to archive and backup your Outlook messages. In other words, it lets you quickly save your Outlook emails on your computer’s hard disk or on external storage devices, including network drives.

To use MessageSave you’ll obviously need Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer. After you setup the add-in, all its options will integrate in Outlook’s ribbon toolbar. As a result, you can access all of MessageSave’s functions from Outlook’s Home tab.


However, you can save messages in an even more convenient manner, via a simple mouse right-click, as MessageSave also lets you do this from Outlook’s context menu. Furthermore, you can easily sort your emails in file system folders, save them in various formats such as TXT, VCF, ICS, MSG, MBOX and EML, but also create backups for their entire content, attachments included.

Last but not least, the add-in can automate message saving using a scheduler, specific Outlook rules or custom rules you create.
