Alcohol 52% is a free emulation program that allows you to play CDs and DVDs without needing the physical disc. Alcohol 52% provides a virtual CD-ROM for you to play your CDs with 200x reading speed.

Features:

- Supports up to 6 virtual CD and DVD-ROM drives, simultaneously.
- The virtual CD-ROM provides 200x reading speed.
- Normal CD/DVD and CD RAW sub-channel reading methods are supported.
- Capable of emulating all CDs using the RAW reading method.
- Supports a variety of CD formats such as CD-ROM, CD-DA, CD-XA, CD+G, Photo CD, Video CD, Multi-session CD and Mixed Mode.
- Supports several DVD formats, specifically DVD-ROM, DVD-Audio, DVD-Video.
- All current ATAPI and SCSI drives are supported: CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW.
- IEEE-1394 and USB protocols are fully supported.

Requirements:

- At least 32 of RAM
- Internet connection
- 10GB (or more) HDD
- One or more bus-mastering SCSI and/or ATAPI buses
- One or more CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives. You can use a CD/DVD recorder as a reader with enough free HDD space.

Limitations:

- You can only use up to 6 virtual drives
