Win32/Virut Remover: A useful tool for cleaning the Virut virus

Win32/Virut Remover is a free utility for cleaning Virut infected files in your Windows-based system.

Virut is a patching virus that infects executable files from your system by inserting malicious code into theirs. Virut infects more files as time goes by, so not removing it fast could cause serious problems.

There is no installation required, just download the files and run the .exe.
Win32/Virut Remover has built-in commands allowing you to specify the disks/partitions you want to heal (e.g.: “rmvirut C: D:”). No parameter specification will trigger the default action of healing all disks/partitions on your PC.

Notes:

Administrator rights are required to run the program. For the remover to work properly the two files, rmvirut.nt and rmvirut.exe need to be located in the same folder. After removal of Virut infections it is recommended you do a full scan of your system with an anti-virus program to make sure your system is clean.
