Gmsh is an automatic 3D finite element grid generator equipped with a CAD engine and a post-processor. With Gmsh you get a basic meshing program with parametric input and options for advanced visualization, extremely useful for academic problems.

With Gmsh you’ll be able to create various 3D modules as the tool’s design relies on geometry, mesh, solver and post-processing modules. You can input data into any of the modules through the program’s interface or via ASCII text files using the scripting language of Gmsh.
