SnapGene: Plan and simulate DNA manipulations, visualize ORFs and share annotated sequences

SnapGene is a software application that's designed to analyze and manipulate complex DNA structures. The application also lets you share your results on the internet for collaborative work or simply to document your work.

The software's interface is pretty intuitive to use, however, since it's aimed primarily towards scientists, it's a bit complex for the normal user since it involved scientific terminology. SnapGene allows you visualize all the primers, enzymes or translations with ease and using its map view, lets you edit, annotate, view or document various information with ease.

While SnapGene is not intended for your average user, it's a powerful piece of software that acts as a good alternative to digitally document DNA sequences or constructs. The software comes with a 30-day free trial.
