OpenCPN: A powerful application that lets you use a chartplotter supporting both ENC and GPS navigation data

Regarding ENC support the chartplotter displays it along with relevant details such as the ship’s speed, position and heading, as well as other data pulled from various sensors, radar and automatic information systems.

The built-in GPS navigation module can calculate routes and provide navigation directions on a vector-predicated map. Through plugin support, OpenCPN lets you work with various types of charts such as CM93 vector charts, BSBv3 raster, S57 ENC, nv-chart and BSB4 among others.

It also provides several display modes, specifically chart-up, single-chart, moving-map, quilted, course-up and north-up.
