McAfee Stinger: Remove Conficker worm from your system

McAfee Stinger is a free application developed by McAfee Labs, capable of removing the Conficker worm from your computer.

This is a cleaning tool, created specifically to remove the Conficker worm. This worm attacks port 445, exploiting MS08 – 067. The symptoms of an infection with W32/Conficker worm include blocked access to security, traffic on port 445 on non-DS servers, user lockouts, autorun.inf files in recycled directory and no access to admin shares.

We recommend that you regularly update your copy of Windows and security software to prevent an infection with Conficker.
