WinToUSB: An intuitive utility that lets you install then run a Windows OS from a USB stick

WinToUSB is a friendly tool that allows you to install Windows from a USB stick by using a CD/DVd or an ISO image to deploy it on the removable drive. The entire process is extremely simple thanks to the wizard-style UI of WinToUSB.

To install Windows on your removable USB stick or hard drive you can use either a CD/DVD or an ISO image of the OS. With WinToUSB you can use any edition of Windows 8.1 to deploy it on your USB drive, and as a result run it on any computer, regardless what operating system is running on it.

Furthermore, you can boot it on multiple machines – the first time it runs it will automatically detect the computer’s hardware, and then the required drivers will be downloaded and installed. This way, it will be able to instantly detect all proper tools the next times you connect it to the same computer.


To create a bootable USB flash or hard drive you’ll have to select the related ISO image or CD/DVD in the application as well as the hard or flash drive you want to install it on. Also, you can choose a specific system partition as the boot partition, then simply click on Next and let the tool do its job.
